Week 29

I think I may have posted this some previous summer but it"s relevant again:

Hot town, summer in the city
Back of my neck getting dirty and gritty
Been down, isn't it a pity
Doesn't seem to be a shadow in the city

Week 28

Now that summer is here again and with it, the festival season. I now realize that there's a whole sub-culture of Japanese "carnies" who drive from festival to festival with their street stall packed in the back of their trucks. Going from town to town hawking goldfish and cheap plastic toys.

Week 27

The main difference between Detroit Tigers games and Hanshin Tigers games? The Hanshin fans love their team win or lose and show it.

Week 25

After taking a three day weekend in Shikoku the bustle of getting back to work made updating the weekly blog entry slipped my mind.

Week 24

I made the realization/calculation this week that 60% of my paycheck goes to "The Man", by which I mean my landlord, the pension office, the state, the State, and the gas, electric, and cable companies. Sure, I make $25/hr, but I only get to spend $10 of that.

Summer is here, evidenced by the exchange of the heater for the fan from the closet.
